When I asked LaTonya and Jamar where they wanted to have their engagement photos taken, they didn’t have to think twice.
They knew they wanted photos at the exact place where Jamar proposed and of course LaTonya said YES!
It all started on this beautiful bridge in Las Colinas.
I arrived a little bit early on the day of the engagement session and as I was driving around scouting for more cool locations, I saw a tank! It looked so random – a tank parked in the parking lot of a building.
Of course I had to tell LaTonya and Jamar about it and we had to take photos next to it.
It turns out they both used to be in the military so the tank wasn’t just a random vehicle for them, but a symbol for who they are as people and a symbol for their love – STRONG AND POWERFUL!
We made it quick as I was kind of being a chicken and was scared that someone would come out and shoot us. 😉
LaTonya and Jamar were brave enough to go with it.
Actually, they were pretty adventurous throughout their whole session.
Most of the grass was still wet from the rain and LaTonya walked in it in high heels like it was nothing.
What’s a little bit of mud on your shoes, right?
Right at the end of our session before the sun went down I wanted to get a photo of the two of them across the lake and catch the reflection in the water. However, LaTonya was wearing high heels and the crossing was very rocky and not heel-friendly at all. So what did Jamar do? Just like any perfect gentlemen would do, he carried his bride to be (scroll down to the bottom to see proof of this).
I can’t wait to work with these two again and look forward to photographing their wedding at Piazza in August.
